Feeling Like a Slug

2009 December 30

I am feeling sluggish this morning. Things are disturbingly quiet at work today and is giving me more time to notice how tired I feel. Boo.

I have a feeling why I am feeling so sluggish. I think it is because I barely ate any of my breakfast.

I decided to try something a little different for breakfast and it didn’t work out for me.

123009 Oats

I made banana oats. 1/3 c oats, 1/3 c water, 1/3 c milk, 1 tbsp flax seed and 2/3 a banana, topping with PB.

Part of the probably is that I didn’t season it. I forgot the salt and I should have added some cinnamon too. But that still doesn’t get me part the fact that I was not digging the texture.  Maybe I just need the crunch of an apple for oats to work for me.

Either way I only choked down about 1/4 of it before I could not take it anymore. Better luck next time.

When I go to work I had a nice surprise waiting on my desk.

I haven’t eaten it yet so I will show you what’s inside later. It is always nice to find a thoughtful surprise first thing in the morning.

Shortly after getting settled in I started munch on a couple of clementines that I peeled at home and brought with me.

When those didn’t do anything to satisfy my appetite I pulled out snack number 2.

Laughing Cow and multigrain club crackers. I love Laughing Cow.

I am still feeling hungry and I am trying to plan my next snack. Lunch isn’t until 1 so I have a ways to go until my next meal. Eek! A Larabar and/or some popcorn maybe?
