Lazy Me

I am being lazy tonight. I have already watched 2 NCIS episodes and it has been great.

As soon as I got home Brian and I took Piper on another walk. Each night we make the loop we walk bigger.

DSCN1449After our walk I was hungry and Brian wasn’t quite ready for dinner. Since I was hungry and lazy I didn’t make the detour to grab my camera. I ate some Jack’s Special Salsa and TJ’s Multigrain Tortilla Chips. Yum.

I killed some time catching up on blog reading and sending out some Ronald McDonald stuff out on Facebook while Brian was cooking dinner. Apparently I missed a small kitchen fire. Eek! My poor copper skillet was a casualty in the incident along with a partially melted bottle of vanilla (I wish I had taken a picture! But I am too lazy to walk back downstairs) and the rest of teh kitchen remained unscathed. I am sure our landlords will be pleased.

I also texted with some random person. The conversation ended abruptly when I got annoyed. How did they get my number if the don’t know who I am? It is super irritating when I get a text saying “Hey and then they ask me who I am. You texted me, why don’t you know that already?

Anyways, dinner is served.

Tuna steak with brown rice and green beans. Simple yet tasty.

I also nibbled on some dark chocolate for dessert.

Since my house is freezing I am going to go turn on my space heater and thaw in tub full of super hot water while flipping through Real Simple and Cooking Light.

Although I may set up my new printer first!

This was another one of my buys from Target today. Ink to refill my Brother printer would have cost me at least $60 so I decided to go ahead and put in $100 to get this wireless printer I have been eyeing.  My home office is well on its way!

Yay for new gadgets!

    I love your foodie blog!
I think I am going to need some changes in my diet – since my activity level is nil – so I can’t keep eating the way I am. Any tips you have would be great.

By the way what was the membership fee for the Aquatics Center?

Hope you have a GREAT Friday!

I am still feeling my way on the healthy food/eating front. The biggest thing I am going for is to eat out less, eat more whole foods (fruits and veggies), increasing my intake of whole grains, and decreasing the amount of meat I eat. On the whole foods, I buy lots of produce to keep in the house and I eat it all since I hate wasting food (and money). Plus I am trying to increase my activity level, even simple stuff like taking Piper for a walk through our neighborhood at night.

I also read a lot of food blogs and try to learn from them. One of my favorites is KathEats.com. She is an nutritionist in training and has lots of helpful info.

The aquatic center was $89/mo for me and B on a pre-paid/month-to-month plan, but it is cheaper if you get a contract. What happened to the workout area at the church?
