Work out or wimp out
Phew, I am worn out.
Things at the office slowed way down at 4:30 so I went ahead and ate a snack of broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots dipped in a hummus and ranch mixture.
I wanted to work out as soon as I got home and I knew if I was hungry that I would never end up making it upstairs to workout. And the plan worked! After checking the mail I went straight upstairs and got to it.
I started by doing a workout from my newest yoga DVD. AM Yoga for Your Week.
There are five workouts and I did the Standing Poses. I am probably not advanced enough for this, but I wanted a change from the other video.
Next up I did a workout of the moves from 30 Day Shred minus some of the cardio. It looked something like this.
| Reps | Move |
| 15 | Push Ups |
| 10 | Squat/shoulder press |
| 10 | Push Ups |
| 7 | Squat/shoulder press |
| 25 | Jumping Jacks |
| 25 | Crunches |
| 25 | Reverse Crunches |
| 20 | Dumbell Rows |
| 15 | Right Leg Static Lunge/bicep curl |
| 20 | Dumbell Rows |
| 15 | Left Leg Static Lunge/bicel curl |
| Punches | |
| 20 | Right side Oblique crunch |
| 20 | Left side Oblique crunch |
| 20 | Chest Flies |
| 10 | Side Lunge/shoulder raise |

| 10 | Side Lunge/shoulder raise |
| 25 | Jumping Jacks |
| Punches | |
| 25 | Bicycle crunch (each side) |
I have such a hard time with the shoulder press after doing the push ups. I always wimp out!
After all this, B wanted to take a walk so I got my shoes on and hit the pavement. I am loving our family walks in this sunny weather!
Pretty much as soon as we got back from our walk I was ready for dinner. Luckily, B had done the prep work for dinner while I was working out, and minus a little seasoning we were good to go.
Two ingredients we had a lot of were ground turkey and lettuce. With a couple other leftover we had in the fridge, quinoa and refried beans, it seemed like taco salad was the best possible dinner idea.
Greenleaf lettuce, quinoa, turkey taco filling (with red bell pepper and red onion), sour cream, jalapenos, salsa, and crushed tortilla chips.
This was another bowl that just seemed like it would never end! You guys know I love me some taco salad and this really hit the spot.
Even though I was pleasantly full after dinner my sweet tooth would not leave me alone, and cookies were a must have.
Samoas cookies and skim milk satisfied my sweet tooth so I could concentrate on blogging.
Now my muscles are screaming for a nice hot soak. Yet another evening is flying by so I better get to it.
While I do that, why don’t you check out my guest post on My Fashionable Affair!
Night!

How long did it take to get through that work out??
